Fall/Winter Mini Camps

Our Fall/Winter Mini Camps are a series of dates where we will be offering one day camps on a specific topic. With a lot of our athletes being multi-sport athletes our goal is provide multiple opportunities for them to fit some basketball in before getting back into their school basketball seasons. We are looking forward to brushing up fundamentals with our athletes before they hit the ground running with school basketball.

September - Decision making camp (September 28)

Our first one day camp of fall will be our decision making camp, we will focus on reactive drills and variable components of decision making. Camp will be 4 hours and the focal point will teaching our athletes when and how to make decisions with the ball in their hands. Decision making is a huge piece of our cirriculum so a 4 hour camp will be just a quick preview of some of the topics we cover in our training programs but can also serve as a great primer going back into the school season.

October - Shooting and movement based decisions (October 26)

Our second one day camp of fall will be our shooting camp, we will be working on off ball movement concepts and understanding how to use a variety of actions to create a shot with off ball movement. Camp will be 4 hours and the focal point will teaching our athletes when and how to find a shot within an offence. This camp can serve as a great introduction for junior high and junior level athletes to some of these concepts and a great refresher for varsity level athletes heading back into their season.

November - Advanced finishing camp (November 16) / Advanced Ball handling camp (november 30)

Our November one day camps will be our advanced finishing camp: finishing moves in the lane and working on the athletes finishing package based on skill level and our advanced ball handling camp: effective ball handling techniques and skill development drills. Camps will be 4 hours and the focal point will teaching our athletes when and how to create opportunities to finish at the rim with proper technique and reads and also how to effectively engage and utilize your handle. Advanced is a reflection of the content we will be teaching not necessarily the skill level, these camps can serve as a great introduction for junior high and junior level athletes to some of these concepts and a great refresher for varsity level athletes heading back into their season.
